We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a deep understanding of the logistics and transport industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting user stories, expanding high-level business requirements, and collaborating closely with development teams, solution architects, and other stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions that align with business objectives.

THE ROLE:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting user stories, expanding high-level business requirements, and collaborating closely with development teams, solution architects, and other stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions that align with business objectives. This position also involves providing leadership and mentorship to two junior Business Analysts, ensuring the team delivers high-quality outcomes and adheres to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the end-to-end business analysis process, ensuring that the logistics and transport solutions meet business requirements and deliver optimal value.
• Create clear and concise user stories, detailed requirements, and acceptance criteria using Jira and Confluence to facilitate effective development and delivery.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure that the solutions are technically sound, feasible, and meet the needs of the business.
• Partner with solution architects to ensure that the proposed solutions are aligned with the broader technical architecture and strategic goals of the company.
• Take high-level business requirements and break them down into actionable user stories, providing the development team with clear and comprehensive guidance.
• Ensure that all deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality. Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and changes to the project scope.
• Guide and mentor two Business Analysts to enhance their skills, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality work and adherence to best practices.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring that all parties are kept informed of progress and changes.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve business analysis processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the overall effectiveness of the team and the success of the project.
• Champion industry best practices, promoting standardization and ensuring that all business analysis work meets the organization's quality standards.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience working within the logistics and transport industry with a strong understanding of its operations, challenges, and systems.
• At least 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including 2-3 years in a leadership role overseeing other Business Analysts.
• Demonstrated expertise in using Jira and Confluence for drafting user stories, managing requirements, and facilitating project delivery.
• Experience in gathering, analyzing, and refining business requirements, and converting high-level concepts into detailed, actionable user stories.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development teams and solution architects in a delivery-focused role, ensuring the successful implementation of business solutions.
• Previous experience in leading and mentoring a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and manage expectations effectively.
• Solid experience in ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery while managing risks and scope changes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
• A good understanding of technical systems and how they integrate with business processes is a plus.
