Clinical Project Assistant

Your Role in Our Future
As a Clinical Project Assistant, you will work collaboratively with project and clinical teams to carry out a blend of clinical and administrative duties ensuring vaccine/outpatient trials across our Early Phase Unit run smoothly. Working across multiple projects at any one time, this role will require you to prioritise your workload and juggle multiple deadlines all whilst observing and monitoring the wellbeing of our participants and ensuring they have a positive experience.
Your time will be spent;
- Conducting clinical activities including ECG, vital signs and blood collection via venepuncture in an effective and efficient manner (full training will be provided, previous experience not essential).
- Completing trial documentation and other administrative tasks, including preparing documentation for patient visits, data entry and query resolution.
- Support the end-to-end participant screening activities including initial assessments, repeat bookings, notification of ineligibility and referrals.
- Communicating effectively with participants, vendors and where appropriate, sponsors.
- Supporting the Clinical Project Coordinator in the building of new studies and protocol amendments, creating taskpads and other study documents to protocol specifications.
This role will be full-time and based at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
Your Experience
The ideal applicant for this role will have previous experience working in a patient facing role with good administrative, communication and coordination skills with the ability to work with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively and respectfully within a team environment.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines.
- Advanced communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrated ability to work within standards, procedures, and regulations.
