Our dynamic Haematology Clinical Trials Unit (HCTU) is seeking motivated, organised team players, preferably with healthcare experience - to join our dedicated and growing team at a leading WA Hospital.

This is for Fixed Term Full Time appointments until 17 May 2026 with the possibility of extension(s).
We currently have 2 positions available.

What is our Clinical Trials Assistant role?
The Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) HCTU oversees a diverse portfolio of industry sponsored and collaborative clinical trials for patients with blood cancer. The position is crucial for providing seamless support to trial participants and ensuring our trials are conducted effectively and efficiently. You will contribute to the coordination and execution of clinical research studies (from Phase l first-in-human to Phase lll randomised trials), supporting the team with a variety of project and administration tasks.

Applicants will be required to fulfil a roster that covers operational hours between 7.45am to 4.15pm from Monday to Friday.

SCGH is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.

Eligibility to Apply:
To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
