Nedlands, Australia Linear Clinical Research Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

About us

Linear Clinical Research is an internationally recognised, not-for-profit. Founded by the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (Perkins), Linear has Western Australia's leading early phase clinical trials facilities located in Nedlands and Joondalup where we conduct successful world-leading research for local and international clients, specialising in a range of early-phase trials and first-in-human studies.

We're now looking for a cross-functional Project Manager who can effortlessly navigate the complexities of clinical trial operations in this newly created position, Head of Projects.

Your Role in Our Future

You will provide leadership and management of all Early Phase Unit (EPU) vaccines and other outpatient studies, managing the projects from commencement to completion and acting as the interface between stakeholders. A key part of this role will be ensuring each study is delivered on time and within budget.

Reporting to our Early Phase Unit Director and part of the EPU senior leadership team, some of your duties will include:

  • Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions to EPU senior leadership team.
  • Manage a cross-functional team including internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful and timely delivery.
  • Working closely with all internal and external (sponsors, CROs and vendors) stakeholders.
  • Support the Business Development team in identifying new studies to manage within the trial portfolio.
  • Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team, in line with business requirements, fostering a culture that aligns with Linear's purpose and core values.

Conveniently located at the QEII campus, this role will be offered on a full-time basis for two years in the first instance.

Your approach combines commercial acumen with strong stakeholder engagement and a sharp eye for compliance, risk, and value delivery.

The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Highly developed project planning, coordination and management skills with the ability to work simultaneously across multiple projects.
  • Excellent organisational skills, adaptability and the ability to work under pressure, set priorities and meet competing deadlines.
  • Building collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, foster effective partnerships, build networks and mentor and develop people.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify trends, establish benchmarks and provide credible analyses and operational recommendations.
  • Previous experience working in clinical research or within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with knowledge of GCP (desirable).

If you meet most, but not all of the criteria, we still encourage you to apply.
