About the business and the role

D & D Diesel Service Pty Ltd is a small family-owned business that wholesale and retail a range of products through phone sales, online sales, customer visits. We are currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to fill the role of a Salesperson in a full-time position. Primarily developing new sales in our Excavator and other Machinery areas.

What you'll do

Being on the front line of our Sales Team, you'll be responsible for creating that all-important human impression that kick-starts our sales and hire process.

Your job will be to find, connect with, and nurture Construction businesses across Victoria, through print media, digital advertising and cold calling on construction sites.

You'll drive sales calls and customer engagement to underpin the broader sales team endeavours. Helping our valued customers understand our points of difference, and extensive range of Equipment solutions.

You'll be an integral part of our team – not just the sales crew, but the whole company. You'll develop great insight into what our potential customers might be struggling with, and will become a fountain of knowledge for our Victoria team. You'll make sure the right people know of us and our success team.

Skills & experience

  • Previous experience in a sales role
  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience is required
  • Experience within OEM equipment or related heavy industry advantageous, but not necessary as we are willing to train.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a solution driven approach to sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Sales or Marketing qualification advantageous
  • Exposure to digital advertising, facebook, instagram etc.
  • Australian citizenship is required for this position
