North Lakes State College opened its doors in 2002 and enables students to commence in Prep and continue through to Year 12 across our two campuses.

As a unique educational College, we offer many different areas of expertise including an industry standard commercial kitchen for hospitality studies, state of the art VI experience, as well as sharing our exceptional sporting facilities with the public.

The College has established a well-planned and sequenced curriculum program that is supported by a large selection of extra-curricular activities which assist students to explore their talents, interests and abilities.

About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Human Resource Management: Support the day-to-day management of support staff, including recruitment, induction, training, workload monitoring, performance support, and coordination of relief and contract placements for both teaching and support staff.
  • Workforce Planning & Compliance: Assist in identifying workforce needs, maintaining accurate staff records, tracking compliance training, managing Blue Card and ADO processes, and ensuring adherence to departmental policies, legislation, and procedural requirements.
  • Financial Administration: Contribute to financial operations through data entry, maintenance of registers, timesheet and leave processing, and support regular budget reviews, purchasing, payment plans, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Resource & Facilities Management: Assist in managing assets, resources, and facilities, including stocktakes, maintenance scheduling, facility hire, inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.
  • Project & Operational Support: Collaborate with the Business Manager on capital works and minor projects, providing coordination, monitoring, and administrative support to ensure effective delivery of school operations and improvement initiatives.

About You:

  • Strong knowledge and experience with OneSchool is essential.
  • Prior experience as a Business Manager or Administrative Officer with a finance focus is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, manage workflows, and meet processing deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Department of Education policies, procedures, and finance requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to discuss overdue debts with debtors
  • Proficient in technology, particularly in using Microsoft Excel effectively.
