About the role

PLEASE NOTE: Part-Time, Casual or Contractor may be acceptable. We predict this job should be 1-2 days per week onsite. Thursday is non-negotiable with Wednesday as the preferred second day.

Gorski Engineering is seeking a skilled Part Time Payroll Officer with HR and bookkeeping experience to join our growing team. This is a part-time role based in our Somerton, VIC office. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing weekly payroll, managing employee records, and providing administrative support to the wider HR and finance functions.

What you'll be doing

  • Process weekly payroll and manage payroll records
  • Administer employee leave, including annual leave, sick leave, and other entitlements
  • Provide HR support, such as onboarding new employees and maintaining employee files
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll and employment legislation
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable

What we're looking for

  • Proficient in using payroll and HR software, such as MYOB or Xero
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of relevant payroll and employment legislation
  • Bookkeeping experience is highly desirable
