PAYROLL / ADMIN OFFICER 

$85k-$90k + super processing payroll for 650+ staff Join relaxed team of professionals in growing retail group 30+ years established business with 60 plus stores across VIC & NSW

About the role 

Your primary focus will be on payroll records, processing payroll for 650+ staff across 60+ entities, and managing day-to-day payroll duties. This challenging role requires someone highly motivated, well organised, and excellent at payroll and HR administration.

Duties:

  • Payroll onboarding of new employees to HR and payroll system
  • Weekly payroll processing for approx. 650 staff
  • Ensuring the employees are paid accurately on the appointed pay day
  • Validate Roster Tool accuracy and importing of hours into Payroll
  • Maintain accurate and up to date payroll information pertaining to all employees (leave, entitlements, transfers etc)
  • Payroll reporting and record keeping
  • Ensuring all superannuation requirements are met for all employees and payments made on time (superstream)
  • Preparation and lodgement of monthly payroll and lodgement of PAYG tax for all sites in NSW & VIC
  • Resolving / answering queries in relation to payroll across the company in a timely manner
  • Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
  • Conduct payroll audits and reconciliation

Accounts Receivable/Payable (MYOB Exo) 

  • Processing of some accounts payable/receivable functions in MYOB Exo.

Skills & experience

  • Certificate or Bachelor Degree in / Commerce/ Accounting or related discipline
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to work independently
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills
  • MS Office intermediate/advanced proficiency across all applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and use your initiative to perform delegated tasks
  • High level of understanding of confidentiality
    • Ability to work
  • Resilient and confident multi-tasker who can handle multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and exposure to EnableHR System highly desirable
