We are seeking a
Business Development Manager
to join our Growth team, based in our head office in Nunawading.
Our newly formed Growth team is a startup within a scaled business—small, agile, and focused on the future of education.
With a mandate to partner with cutting-edge edtech products, we're shaping the next generation of digital solutions for Australian schools.
Reporting to the GM, Growth, the Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Campion's digital growth ambition. You'll lead the charge in bringing new products to market, building strong relationships with schools and edtech partners, and developing strategies to grow a sustainable sales pipeline across Australia.
Key responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Drive the acquisition and retention of customer schools for our digital product portfolio, in partnership with Account and State managers.
- Partner Relationships: Work closely with edtech partners on sales, marketing, commercials and implementation as we launch and scale their products.
- Sales & Lead Generation: Attend industry events, network with key stakeholders, and proactively generate leads to support sales growth.
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Consistently pursue and achieve sales targets, contributing to the overall financial health of the business.
- Pilot Management: Oversee digital product pilots, ensuring successful implementation and conversion into long-term partnerships.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee and manage the entire sales pipeline for our digital product portfolio, ensuring leads are effectively nurtured through to conversion.
- Post-Sale Implementation: Deliver comprehensive pre- and post-sales support to ensure high customer satisfaction and digital products are fully embedded and well used.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and partners, including through an active role in Campion Incubate.
- Data Insights & Analysis: Track and analyse data on the sales pipeline, market trends, and competitor activity, delivering actionable insights and reports to inform strategic direction and continuous improvement.
- Proactively manage own personal development, embedding Campion's values and capability framework to elevate performance and professional growth.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of proven success in business development or relationship management.
- 3+ years of experience in digital technologies, preferably with an education focus.
- Proven experience in delivering valued solutions based on customer needs.
- Excellent relationship management skills with proficiency in effective communication and customer service.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of sales performance metrics.
- High degree of flexibility and proven ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other digital technologies including CRM and project management software.
- Valid Australian driver's licence preferred.
- Working With Children Check preferred.
