About Us

Hobsons Bay Hotel is a vibrant and contemporary pub located in the heart of Williamstown. Known for our modern Australian menu, great atmosphere, and commitment to quality, we take pride in delivering exceptional food and service to our guests. We're now looking to expand our kitchen team with talented and motivated chefs at all levels.

About the Role

We're seeking passionate Chefs to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. You'll work closely with our Head Chef and team to prepare high-quality dishes, contribute ideas for seasonal menus, and help maintain a clean, efficient, and positive kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard.
  • Maintain consistency and quality across all menu items.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
  • Uphold food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards.
  • Assist in stock control, ordering, and waste management.
  • Support training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff.

Qualification:

  • Experience in a similar role within a busy pub or restaurant environment.
  • A strong passion for food, creativity, and continuous learning.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
  • Relevant trade qualifications (Cert in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
