We're looking for a forward-thinking, people-first leader to join our new executive team as Director Corporate Services. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping a high-performing organisation that's focused on delivering great outcomes for our community.

Why this role matters

Hobsons Bay City Council is entering an exciting new phase of transformation. As part of our refreshed executive team, you'll work closely with our incoming CEO to build a culture that's collaborative, values-led and focused on continuous improvement.

You'll also work in close partnership with our Executive Leadership team and the proposed Chief People Officer to lead a significant program of cultural and organisational change, one that puts people, performance and purpose at the centre.

What you'll be leading

You'll oversee a diverse and essential portfolio that supports the entire organisation, including:

• Community Learning and Service Centres
• Finance and Procurement
• Corporate Integrity (governance and local laws)
• Property and Legal Services
• Information and Digital Services

Your leadership will ensure we deliver high-quality, best-practice corporate services that enable our teams to thrive and our community to benefit.

Who we're looking for

You're a strategic and collaborative leader with a strong track record in the public sector. You understand the legislative, statutory and governance frameworks of local government, and you know how to lead multidisciplinary teams through change.

You bring integrity, clarity and a commitment to excellence and you're passionate about building a workplace culture where people feel supported, empowered and inspired to do their best work.
