Position Overview
Epsilon is seeking a highly motivated and tenacious Business Development Manager, preferably based in Melbourne, to join its high-growth platform during a pivotal scale-up phase. This role is ideal for a sales professional passionate about educating clients and building enduring relationships in the private credit asset class.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve and exceed distribution targets and related activity, including new business acquisition, prospect meetings and client service.
- Identify and pursue new lead generation, collaborating across the team to drive asset growth.
- Actively maintain CRM system and identify analytics to streamline business development process and increase efficiency and productivity.
- Provide valuable client insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with financial advisers, private wealth firms, private banks, and family offices.
- Build and expand a robust network across the financial advice and wealth management sector.
- Maintain high standards of client service and foster lasting connections.
Product Representation & Education
- Represent Epsilon's investment strategies and funds to wholesale investors with authority and credibility.
- Deliver compelling, tailored presentations, webinars, and in-person meetings to educate clients on Epsilon's offerings and perspectives on private credit.
- Clearly communicate and advocate for the value and benefits of Epsilon's products.
Subject Matter Expertise & Market Knowledge
- Develop deep understanding of Epsilon's investment offerings, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in private credit and alternative investments.
- Stay abreast of financial market developments, asset allocation best practices, and regulatory changes.
Collaboration & Professional Growth
- Work closely with founders and senior executives, gaining direct exposure to market leaders.
- Actively contribute to the growth and evolution of Epsilon's distribution and broader firm capabilities.
- Display a commitment to continual learning and professional development.
Travel
- Regularly travel across Australia and New Zealand to meet with clients, furthering the firm's reach and deepening client relationships.
Experience
- 5–10 years' experience in funds management sales, wealth advising, or related financial services roles, with a proven record in client acquisition and retention.
- Deep understanding of alternative investments and contemporary portfolio solutions.
- Strong professional network within wealth management, private banks, financial advisory and family office channels.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales activity and business development targets.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CFA, RG146, Finance/Economics degree).
- Self-motivated, driven, and adaptable; able to excel both independently and within a high-performing team.
