ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to join the Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time role is based primarily at Broadmeadows, with flexibility to also support the Dandenong site on a semi-regular basis.

This position will see you working across two companies, providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial support. You'll play a key role in ensuring financial compliance, managing reporting cycles, and supporting both operational and strategic decision making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee payroll, BAS/IAS, and compliance requirements across multiple states
  • Prepare monthly management reports, reconciliations, and financial packs
  • Maintain fixed asset and hire purchase registers
  • Partner with project and engineering teams to support billing, costing, and reporting
  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Assist the Finance Manager and CFO with ad hoc projects and reporting
ABOUT YOU
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA desirable)
  • 3+ years' experience in management accounting, bookkeeping, or financial accounting roles
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements
  • Confident using accounting systems (Xero and similar) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and organisational skills
  • Ability to adapt, prioritise, and work across two business entities when needed
  • Team-oriented mindset, with humility, drive, and people smarts
