Management Accountant - Associate - Ubertas Group

An exciting opportunity exists to join our entrepreneurial, privately owned Australian Group with Property Development, Property Management, Investment, Entertainment, Hospitality and Food & Beverage businesses.

Key Responsibilities

The management accountant tasks within the Group include:

  • Month end reconciliations and reporting for selected companies and businesses including the Birds Basement Jazz Club
  • Ensuring compliance with the Group's expenditure and treasury policies
  • Working with our Accounts Officer to maintain accuracy of the AP and AR ledgers, including issuing invoices for monthly property management income
  • Inventory and CoGS reporting at month end
  • Review and reconciliation of system postings to NetSuite (ordermate, purchase plus and ticketing systems amongst others)
  • Cashflow reporting
  • Forecasting and feasibility analysis for new projects
  • Year end workpapers and assistance with preparation of financial statements
  • Tax compliance.

Key Requirements

You will be a confident management accountant with excellent accuracy, communication and time management skills. You will also have strong systems and technical skills, direct accounts payable experience and a solid understanding of the expenditure cycle.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • recently completed their post graduate CA or CPA program
  • NetSuite or similar accounting system experience
  • food and beverage accounting experience, including related systems such as ordermate and purchase plus.
