Executive Support Officer – Met North

- Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8 range from $113,574 to $121,845 base + superannuation
About the role
- Provide high level executive and administrative support to the Executive Director's Office.
- Manage a broad range of administrative function including correspondence and finance.
- Support a range of complex and sensitive issues to support the Executive Director and the Professional support Officer.
- Contribute to a dynamic team supporting the Metropolitan North Directorate Public Schools team.
The Metropolitan North directorate leads and supports the operations of 270 NSW public schools. The Executive Director's administration team comprises a Professional Support Officer (PEO), an Executive Support Officer (7/8) and an Executive Assistant (5/6). The Directorate has three office locations: Macquarie Park, Nirimba and Dee Why. The overarching goal of the Directorate, as apart of the Public Schools division is to achieve the best possible outcomes for students, staff and community.

About you -
- You are able to work in a dynamic, high volume environment and can manage competing priorities and high level commitments.
- You are aware of the importance of confidentiality and are sensitive to the importance of positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You approach is customer focused, professional and supportive of the requirements of a high functioning team.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Experience in provision of high quality administrative support including word processing and production of reports and records management to ensure completion within agreed timelines.
- Capacity to effectively coordinate, prepare and draft briefings, correspondence and other documentation in line with ministerial and departmental guidelines.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage a budget including transactions, reporting and compliance
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
