**The organisation**

The Housing Industry Association is Australia's peak private sector building industry body, representing builders, trade contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and related industry participants. As a national industry organisation, HIA's primary role is to represent and advance the interests of its members.

**The role**

This role provides high level executive support to the NSW Executive Director (ED) and maintains robust processes that support project delivery & effective engagement with key external stakeholders.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Providing high level executive support to the NSW Executive Director and NSW management team;
- Developing, implementing and maintaining effective processes, plans and reports that guide prioritisation of effort for the NSW team;
- Developing and implementing effective engagement and networking strategies, with the management team, for key external stakeholders and industry influencers; and
- Developing and maintaining critical media, political office, government department and agency connections and communication channels.

**To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate**:

- Excellent organisation and planning skills;
- Experience developing and managing business networks;
- Motivated self-starter, able to grasp both policy and commercial imperatives;
- Excellent written and verbal skills;
- Trusted team player able to coordinate and lead as required; and
- Ability to work effectively & seamlessly across a range of areas.

Experience using and reporting from a CRM or other customer relationship system will be viewed favourably, as will tertiary qualifications in public relations, policy, business management or project management.
