About the Role

Are you ready to lead Diversity Equity and Inclusion in a University where this is a key part of our cultural fabric and help shape a workplace where everyone belongs? We're looking for a dynamic Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to continue to champion our mission of creating a truly inclusive university community. 

In this exciting role, you'll partner with an engaged Executive and leadership group and a passionate People and Culture team to lead the charge in designing, implementing, and evaluating bold, university-wide DEI strategies that make a lasting impact. You'll be the driving force behind embedding inclusion into every corner of our organization and empowering our leaders by assisting to make DEI a part of our strategic and operational plans. 

You'll collaborate closely with senior leaders, the people and culture team, vibrant staff networks, and passionate external partners to turn strategy into action, and action into measurable results. If you're a connector, an influencer, and a visionary with a passion for equity and belonging, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose and leave a legacy of inclusion.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading organisation-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.
  • Deep knowledge of legislative frameworks, sector benchmarks, and best practice in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Experience in designing and delivering DEI plans and reporting to meet regulators obligations and foster cultural change.
  • Experience with sector accreditation frameworks (e.g., SAGE Athena Swan, RAP, AWEI).
  • Lived experience or demonstrated commitment to advancing equity for marginalised groups.

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion, organisational development, or related field.
