About the Role

Are you ready to drive operational excellence and strategic industry engagement at Swinburne? As Senior Operations Manager within Business Growth Services, you'll lead a dynamic team to deliver high-impact research business development. This pivotal role connects strategy with execution—overseeing key initiatives including strategic industry co-location, managing the pipeline and stakeholder relationships in Swinburne's Research Institutes and Hubs, VET and allied functions to seamless operational outcomes to enhance service delivery across diverse operational domains e.g. integrated reporting, continuous process improvement, and the oversight of events and marketing communications of Business Growth Services.

You'll be the go-to contact for research institutes and industry partners, steering business opportunities, sales reporting, analytics, and business planning. Your leadership will foster collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational alignment with university policies. About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

·       Ability to develop and implement operational plans to achieve strategic objectives aligned with institutional goals.

·       Demonstrated commercial acumen with expert knowledge and track record of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Australia or abroad

·       Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write professional reports, prepare high quality business plans, proposals, presentations and reports with a solid understanding of marketing principles.

·       Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and reporting

·       Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective networks and develop collaborations and partnerships with senior stakeholders across industry, government and academia

Qualifications

·       Postgraduate qualifications in Business Management or in a related area and/or extensive management experience and proven management expertise.
