Chef de Partie – Rumi on Louth (Eyre Peninsula, SA)

We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at Rumi on Louth, a luxury off-grid eco-resort located on South Australia's breathtaking Louth Island. This is a unique opportunity to work in one of Australia's most pristine natural environments, preparing refined, seasonal cuisine using world-class local ingredients.

As Chef de Partie, you'll take ownership of your section, support the Sous and Executive Chefs, and contribute to delivering a consistently exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a designated kitchen section (larder, grill, pastry, etc.) with precision and pride
  • Prepare and plate dishes to the highest standard, in line with the resort's elevated food philosophy
  • Assist with mise en place, service execution, and post-service clean-down
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality control standards
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop seasonal dishes using local produce
About You
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up
  • Confident managing a section in a high-quality or fine dining environment
  • A passion for produce-driven, sustainable cooking
  • Calm, focused and reliable under pressure
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Food Safety Certificate (essential)
