BREAKFAST CHEF - SOUTHERN OCEAN LODGE - KANGAROO ISLAND
Dining at Southern Ocean Lodge is both a dynamic delight for the senses and a true gastronomic journey of Kangaroo Island and South Australia; a 'produce to plate' approach is our passion. The daily designed menu honours fine local ingredients with a cuisine style at once sophisticated and simple to promote the intense purity of flavours and to create a very special dining experience, unique to the Island and to Southern Ocean Lodge.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join our Southern Ocean Lodge family on Kangaroo Island.
You will be a pivotal member of the kitchen team and be responsible for delivering a world-class culinary experience for our discerning, well-travelled guests, utilising the incredibly abundant local produce from Kangaroo Island and South Australia.
This is a full time role inclusive of accommodation, meals and utilities as provided in our onsite staff village.
To succeed in your application you will need:
- Appropriate trade qualifications
- Proven experience in delivering high quality dining
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to a schedule
- Strong attention to detail and style
- A passion for innovative food
- Knowledge of Australian cuisine and Industry Standards
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Previous experience in a remote lodge or resort would be advantageous
