About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in Clayton. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. As a key member of our team, you will also provide administrative support to other departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees with precision and timeliness, ensuring the accurate calculation of deductions, entitlements, superannuation, taxes, and leave accruals.
  • Promptly address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or errors to maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain and update employee details, including salary, tax, and banking information.
  • Lodging Superannuation, Leave Plus & Incolink contributions/reports.
  • Preparation of relevant management reports, such as weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end reports.
  • Up to date knowledge of agreements/awards and contract interpretation in relation to leave entitlements, overtime, allowances etc.
  • Provide administrative support to other departments and team members as needed to ensure smooth business operations.

About you

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Payroll Officer.
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency status.
  • Experience within the construction industry is highly regarded.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and payroll software Wage Easy (preferred).
  • Previous EBA experience highly advantageous.
  • Display precision and accuracy, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and observation skills.
  • Eager to learn and develop, showing initiative and adaptability.
  • Ability to work within a team, as well as independently.
