**About the opportunity**

Are you a Graduate looking for your first opportunity to work in a fast paced environment and join a high performing team?

We’re currently recruiting for a Graduate Payroll Officer (full-time permanent) to join our team based in Clayton South, Melbourne VIC. As the newest member to our finance team reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing end-to end payroll services.

A day in the life as the Graduate Payroll Officer with CareChoice, will see you supporting our finance team with:

- Generating payroll for approx. 650 support workers on a fortnightly basis
- Maintaining employee profiles in the payroll system
- Fortnightly and monthly payroll reporting
- Processing Accounts Payable invoices on a weekly basis
- Manual checking of timesheets and re-coding as required in relation to awards
- Validating the payroll files prior to payments; checking correct awards, overtime rules, wage rates, time worked, department codes and other checks to ensure an accurate payroll is processed
- Processing offline/adjustment payments, backpay and overtime calculations
- Process workers compensation and reimbursements

**About you**

As an enthusiastic and reliable professional willing to learn quickly, you will have strong verbal and written communication skills. Ideally you'll have an understanding of end-to-end payroll procedures (experience with the following will be beneficial);
- Working knowledge of the SCHADS (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services) Award
- hr3 payroll software
- Salesforce
- Experience with NDIS and community services sector payroll
