About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in Clayton. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. As a key member of our team, you will also provide administrative support to other departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees with precision and timeliness, ensuring the accurate calculation of deductions, entitlements, superannuation, taxes, and leave accruals.
- Promptly address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or errors to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain and update employee details, including salary, tax, and banking information.
- Lodging Superannuation, Leave Plus & Incolink contributions/reports.
- Preparation of relevant management reports, such as weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
- Up-to-date knowledge of agreements/awards and contract interpretation in relation to leave entitlements, overtime, allowances etc.
- Provide administrative support to other departments and team members as needed to ensure smooth business operations.
About you
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Payroll Officer.
- Experience within the construction industry is highly regarded.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and payroll software Wage Easy (preferred).
- Previous EBA experience is highly advantageous.
- Display precision and accuracy, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and observation skills.
- Eager to learn and develop, showing initiative and adaptability.
- Ability to work within a team, as well as independently.
