Payroll Lead / 2IC

  • $130,000 - $140,000 + Super | North Sydney | 3-4 Days From Home
  • Strong BAU Preceda processing experience required before it becomes end of life
  • Step into Management to support with overseeing the team during Dayforce project

The successful candidate will oversee the BAU in Preceda, assist with audit & compliance whilst acting as 2IC/Assistant Manager leading the team.

Overview: This role is initially a 9 Month Contract for the new system implementation with a strong potential to extend. The successful candidate will oversee the BAU processing in Preceda, assist with audit and new system testing whilst acting as a 2IC/Assistant Manager providing support to the payroll team.

  • Manage / oversee end-to-end payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles, ability to roll your sleeves up and assist the team
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
  • Provide expert knowledge on Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA).
  • Assist on system issues, payroll compliance and analysis
  • Act as the first point of contact for escalations and work closely with the Payroll Manager
  • Adhoc support for upcoming implementation and process improvements

Requirements:

  • Strong End to End technical payroll knowledge
  • Strong stakeholder skills to communicate with all levels of stakeholders internally and externally
  • Leadership Skills
  • Self starter and go getter attitude who can hit the ground running and take ownership
  • Preceda and/or Oracle (Desired not essential)
  • Strong Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot, VLOOKUPs)
