The Payroll Agency has partnered with a leading national organisation (ASX-listed, high-profile brand) that's on the hunt for a
Payroll Compliance Lead
who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves, own their space, and ensure everything from payroll tax to superannuation runs with absolute precision.
This isn't your average compliance role, it's an opportunity to be
the person
who keeps one of Australia's most recognised brands compliant, audit-ready, and continuously improving.
What you'll be doing:
- Overseeing payroll tax, superannuation, and statutory reporting (monthly and quarterly)
- Performing reconciliations and ensuring accuracy across all payroll-related accounts
- Partnering with Finance, P&C, and Audit teams to uphold strong governance standards
- Leading annualised salary and workers' compensation reporting
- Identifying risk, refining processes, and ensuring everything stands up to audit scrutiny
- Documenting, improving, and elevating payroll compliance frameworks
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years in a senior payroll, compliance, or payroll accounting role
- Experience in large, complex environments
- Strong Excel skills and forensic-level attention to detail
- A proactive, improvement-focused mindset; you don't just "do", you
optimise
Why you'll love it:
You'll join a business that truly values payroll as a strategic function not just a process. Expect autonomy, flexibility, and a supportive environment where your voice matters. This is your opportunity to own the department and make it amazing
In return you'll get:
$150k + Super - potentially more if you tick all their boxes. They're in office 3 x a week but flexible. Based in Sydney near all transport links so very convenient.
