Payroll Lead / 2IC

The successful candidate will oversee the BAU in Preceda, assist with audit & compliance whilst acting as 2IC/Assistant Manager leading the team.

Overview

This role is initially a 9 Month Contract for the new system implementation with a strong potential to extend. The successful candidate will oversee the BAU processing in Preceda, assist with audit and new system testing whilst acting as a 2IC/Assistant Manager providing support to the payroll team.

Responsibilities

- Manage / oversee end-to-end payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles, ability to roll your sleeves up and assist the team

- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies

- Provide expert knowledge on Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA).

- Assist on system issues, payroll compliance and analysis

- Act as the first point of contact for escalations and work closely with the Payroll Manager

- Adhoc support for upcoming implementation and process improvements

Requirements

- Strong End to End technical payroll knowledge

- Strong stakeholder skills to communicate with all levels of stakeholders internally and externally

- Leadership Skills

- Self starter and go getter attitude who can hit the ground running and take ownership

- Preceda and/or Oracle (Desired not essential)

- Strong Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot, VLOOKUPs)
