About the role

Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, this is a 6-month fixed term contract, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing operational delivery with project involvement. You'll work closely with Payroll and HR project teams to ensure payroll runs smoothly while helping implement a fit-for-purpose payroll solution for our business.

You'll be involved in:

  • End-to-end payroll processing and compliance
  • Payroll operations and reporting
  • New payroll system implementation
  • Partner with the payroll team to enhance payroll processes through documentation, compliance support, and process refinement

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
  • Provide support to the broader payroll team by assisting with queries, approvals and day-to-day problem solving
  • Support the implementation of a new payroll system, including data migration, testing, and go-live activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of payroll services

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and operations for medium to large-size businesses
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Advanced excel skills and the ability to quickly learn and navigate payroll systems
  • Ability to work independently with flexibility and adaptability
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
  • Some experience leading small payroll teams is desirable
  • Experience with payroll system implementation is highly desirable
