About the role
Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, this is a 6-month fixed term contract, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing operational delivery with project involvement. You'll work closely with Payroll and HR project teams to ensure payroll runs smoothly while helping implement a fit-for-purpose payroll solution for our business.
You'll be involved in:
- End-to-end payroll processing and compliance
- Payroll operations and reporting
- New payroll system implementation
- Partner with the payroll team to enhance payroll processes through documentation, compliance support, and process refinement
What you'll be doing
- Manage and process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
- Provide support to the broader payroll team by assisting with queries, approvals and day-to-day problem solving
- Support the implementation of a new payroll system, including data migration, testing, and go-live activities
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of payroll services
What you'll bring
- Proven experience in payroll processing and operations for medium to large-size businesses
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Advanced excel skills and the ability to quickly learn and navigate payroll systems
- Ability to work independently with flexibility and adaptability
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- Some experience leading small payroll teams is desirable
- Experience with payroll system implementation is highly desirable
