**About Future Energy**:
Energy Transition and Decarbonisation is one of Ampol’s four strategic pillars, a key priority area that will help ensure we deliver on our purpose to ‘power better journeys today and tomorrow’.
The objective of the Future Energy team is to evolve our energy offering to ensure we continue to meet the ongoing needs of our customers and deliver an energy offering to best leverage marketplace opportunities as they arise.
**The role**:
The Program Manager within Future Energy, will be accountable for the effective management and oversight of a complex Program portfolio, centered on delivering a series of IT projects to enable and develop the Future Energy lines of business for E-Mobility, Generation and Wholesale.
Leading a team, this role will oversee project or delivery through all stages of the project life cycle, work regularly within ambiguous, Greenfield environments, play a key role in multiple IT workstreams to deliver long term change to Ampol business lines.
As IT Program Manager within Future Energy, you’ll take us further by:
- Leading the definition and scoping of IT solutions in support of Future Energy business initiatives.
- End to end delivery and portfolio management of complex programs of inter-related projects and initiatives, with significant business impact, high profile, and with high-risk dependencies.
- Engaging with key stakeholders and sponsors across Ampol, remaining accountable for delivery, project risks and performance
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of the estimation, risks and project schedule and for working with the respective Business Sponsor to finalise the business case in order to secure project funding.
- Ensure realistic project quality, change control and risk management procedures are maintained.
- Accountable for the selection, performance and development of team of project managers
This is a permanent position based in our Alexandria (Sydney) or Melbourne, with flexible, hybrid work options available.
**About You**:
- Minimum 7 years experience in Project Management
- Use of agile scrum methods to manage and deliver work packages, leading and coordinating multiple scrum teams and business stakeholders in the delivery of mutually aligned goals.
- Certified in a leading Project Management methodology such as Prince2 or PMBOK
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Presentation skills and ability to present complex information
- Experience within the Utilities or Energy sector is highly desirable
