We're looking for a transformational leader with a proven track record in driving large-scale technology programs and leading complex change.

An exciting new opportunity has emerged with the role of Program Director Rail Timetable Solution within Sydney Trains Rail Operations branch. This is a high-profile strategic leadership role that will lead the development and implementation of the next generation of rail timetabling software. The role will see you managing the third-party software supplier to ensure delivery aligns with business expectations, while also managing the downstream integration into systems and operational change. A critical aspect of the role involves leading the transformation across people, processes and technology and ensure successful adoption and long-term value.

In this role, you'll:

  • Lead and deliver the enterprise program across multiple branches of Sydney Trains and ensuring business outcomes are successful.
  • Test the software solution, provide user training, oversee the design and implementation of the process, people and technology changes.
  • Manage the change from legacy rail timetabling systems to a modern, efficient and future ready network
  • Lead the development and implementation of new ways of working processes and procedures and build training materials for capability uplift.
  • Lead and inspire teams through this transformation.

About You

  • You will have demonstrated experience leading the strategic direction and delivery of large, complex technology programs.
  • You bring a deep understanding of and experience in business transformational change and strategic planning.
  • You will possess strong commercial acumen and have experience designing and implementing program strategies and plans to drive transformation.
  • You will understand how to build, shape and solve outcomes.
  • You are a technology leader with deep experience managing a delivery capability responsible for planning, delivery, change management and reform for a range of programs.
  • You have the ability to manage both the diversity and complexity of change management in a sensitive political environment in providing the most effective strategy and operational plans to enable successful program delivery.
  • You are an influencer with a strong strategic mindset.
  • Adaptable in nature, you lead by example with the ability to drive change and to motivate team members towards achieving business objectives.
