Alexandria, Australia Co-Hive Full time

**Are you an educational leader with experience in disability services?**

**Ready to lead a groundbreaking initiative that supports young adults with disabilities?**

**Do you have a strong track record in managing education teams and driving positive change?**

If so, Co-Hive invites you to join our rapidly growing community.

**About Us**:
Co-Hive is a pioneering space in Sydney dedicated to empowering young adults with disabilities, aged 17-35 years. We offer specialised programs that bridge the gap between education and employment, fostering independence, building confidence, and creating meaningful social connections. Our mission is closely aligned with the Australian Disability Strategy, and we are committed to promoting self-determination and creating a culture that empowers our participants to thrive.

**About the Role**:
As the Co-Hive Programs Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of our programs within our Alexandria hub and at external locations. Leading a team of 10-20 Program Facilitators and Assistants, you’ll ensure that our programs meet the highest standards and evolve to support the needs of our participants. You will be reporting directly to the CEO and working as part of the Executive team.

This full-time role, based at Co-Hive Alexandria, also involves delivering at least one program yourself, directly engaging with participants and modelling best practices for your team. Your role will be crucial in supporting transitions from high school to Co-Hive and from Co-Hive to employment and other supports. You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of self-determination among our participants.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- _Educational Leadership_: Lead and develop your team with the capacity to initiate improvements in teaching, learning, and program delivery. Manage performance to ensure that Co-Hive participants progress in their learning, wellbeing, and independence.
- _Program Development & Delivery:_ Oversee the complete delivery of Co-Hive programs, ensuring alignment with our vision, the Australian Disability Strategy, and evidence-informed practices.
- _Staff Capacity Building:_ Develop your team's capacity to promote learning and wellbeing for participants with disabilities.
- _Transition Expertise:_ Guide participants through transitions from high school to Co-Hive and from Co-Hive to employment, ensuring personalised growth.
- _Data-Driven Improvement:_ Use data to monitor and evaluate participant outcomes and inform strategic planning.
- _Relationship Building:_ Foster positive relationships with participants, their families, staff, and allied health professionals.
- _Operational Excellence:_ Ensure the hub operates smoothly and aligns with Co-Hive’s processes and values.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- _Educational Background:_ University degree in education and/or disability, with recent school-based experience in leading inclusive educational environments.
- _Leadership & Management:_ Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership and management roles, preferably within the education or disability sectors.
- _Special Education Expertise:_ Proven experience in supporting participants with disabilities, including relevant qualifications in inclusion or special education.
- _Curriculum & Program Expertise:_ Experience in developing and delivering high-quality curriculum and programming.
- _Technology Proficiency:_ Advanced IT skills, particularly with the Google Suite and the ability to innovate with technology.
- _NDIS Knowledge:_ Strong understanding of the NDIS framework and experience in supporting participants through tailored programs.

**What We Offer**:

- _Salary:_ Competitive salary ranging between $120K and $180K, depending on experience.
- _Professional Growth:_ Opportunities for continuous learning and career progression within a supportive and innovative environment.
- _Growth & Expansion:_ As Co-Hive rapidly expands, you will have the opportunity to grow with the organisation as we scale.
- _Impactful Work:_ The chance to be at the forefront of an emerging company that is making a significant impact on the lives of young adults with disabilities.
- _Additional Perks:_ Enjoy 4 additional days of paid leave per year dedicated to wellness activities, as we believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

**How to Apply**:
Please submit your resume and a cover letter addressing the key responsibilities and qualifications listed above. We look forward to hearing how you can contribute to Co-Hive's mission.
