Seeking an experienced Purchasing and Administration Officer for a State Government health department

**Your new company**

A leading Health department based outside of Perth CBD, is seeking an experienced Purchasing and Administration Officer to support the Finance and Business team. This role will initially be offered on a temporary arrangement, and requires you to work full-time hours, with some flexibility offered around working hours. You will be based in an office that is convenient to public transport, as well as paid parking facilities. Ideally you will be able to commence immediately after interview.

**Your new role**

As the Purchasing and Administration Officer you will be responsible for:

- Maintaining the departments invoice and purchase order register
- Monthly reconciliation tasks of open purchase orders
- Raising new purchase orders and invoices, processing payments on the system as needed
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding the status of payments of accounts
- Prepare journals and reports on daily revenue and payments
- Assist in preparing quotes and sourcing quotes from external stakeholders and suppliers
- General administration support required in the role and on behalf of the team

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered for this role, you will have previously worked in both an administrative and purchasing position. In addition, you will display:

- The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple competing deadlines
- Adaptability to change and a positive attitude in supporting the team with adhoc tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Confidence in liaising with internal and external stakeholders to discuss finance and administration matters
