**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Purchasing Officer to join our team in Forrestdale in a newly created position. You will have the opportunity to design and make this permanent full-time role your own, with a focus on facilitating the purchase of goods and services for the Cooling division, using best practice standards and policies.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Procurement Lead, your main responsibilities will include:

- Purchase order management: Involving creation, review and managing of purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Cost Analysis: Analysing price trends; market conditions, and supplier performance to recommend cost-saving strategies and maintain budgetary controls.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels for stock optimisation; reducing carrying costs and ensuring the availability of required materials.
- Contract Management: Maintaining supplier contracts, negotiating terms, and enforcing compliance with agreements.
- Vendor Performance Evaluation: Assessing supplier performance regularly, addressing any issues and ensuring alignment with quality and delivery standards.
- Logistics Management: Facilitating seamless coordination with Logistics personnel to ensure the provision of precise information for both domestic and international shipments.
- Accounts Payable: Collaborating to address discrepancies with suppliers, pertaining to pricing, quality, or quantitative aspects, ensuring resolutions align with organizational standards.
- Other duties as required.

**About You**

To be considered for this position you will ideally:

- Have 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Certificate IV in Procurement, Business Administration or other equivalent qualification would be highly advantageous.
- Current and Valid C Class Licence
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Have outstanding interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to plan, develop and maintain electronic and paper-based filing systems.
- Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
