**About the opportunity**

Westgold Resources are on the lookout for a Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement team based in Perth on a full-time permanent term basis.

Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, the Purchasing Officer will engage with internal/ external stakeholders to provide expertise that support strategic business objectives. This customer-focused position requires strong communication skills to effectively manage supplier relationships, oversee direct charge and inventory purchasing, address overdue orders, and coordinate rotable and repairable item management.

**The role includes**
- Performing purchasing activities that ensure provision of goods and services are delivered with the right quality, quantity and in the right place and time
- Implement direct Charge Purchasing
- Maintain optimal inventory purchasing
- Service Purchase Order conversion
- Coordinate Critical inventory re-order and deliveries to ensure 0 stock outs
- Negotiate purchasing transactions
- Process credit return of goods
- Conduct customer service meetings
- Expedite pre-delivery order to ensure on time deliveries

**What do I need?**
- Demonstrated 3 years experience with a purchase order driven accounting or purchasing system (Pronto desirable)
- Exposure to mining preferred (gold mining advantageous)
- Skills of effective negotiation
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen
- National Police Clearance (issued within 12 months)
