Brightstar Resources (ASX: BTR) owns and operates the established Second Fortune Gold Mine and the newly launched Fish mine in the Laverton Goldfields region of Western Australia. Our operations are expanding and we have created a new role for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team in our Subiaco office to drive focus and efficiency in purchasing & procurement.

You will build strong partnerships with divisional and operation managers to:

  • Prepare and maintain purchase requisitions in accordance with the operational demands
  • Ensure all quotations are valid, compliant with purchasing policies, and represent best value for the business
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, addressing issues to support continuous improvement
  • Source quotations in line with competitive procurement policies
  • Provide reports on purchasing activity, cost savings, and supplier performance

This role will require monthly site travel to the Laverton Goldfields.

You will have previous experience in a similar role at an operational mine with excellent attention to detail, communication and customer service skills. You will be proficient in the use of finance ERP systems (preferably Pronto) and Microsoft Excel.
