**Purchasing Officer**

Our client is a leading Mining company located in Subiaco who are looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to start as soon as possible - someone with SAP experience is essential

**The role**
- Purchasing requisitions (PRs) for low value and low risk items will be assigned on a daily basis to the BPO provider for processing. All other PRs will be processed by the purchasing officers;
- Purchasing officers will be assigned by specific mine site and will be responsible for processing direct purchase (DP), inventory and service orders for all PR's not processed by the BPO provider;
- Responsible for processing and meeting critical purchasing requirements (urgent shipments, hotshots, shutdowns, etc.)
- Informally meet with the P2P Manager - seek ongoing direction, coaching and support as required
- Make purchasing decisions based on the quality, cost and delivery of the product required;
- Be a role model. Regularly review own areas of responsibility with a view to continuously improving systems and processes and minimising costs wherever possible;
- Cross-functional coordination with relevant areas (e.g. AP, IT, Warehouse) to meet customer expectations related to purchasing

**Essential**
- SAP Experience
- Minimum 12 months in a purchasing position
- Ability to work from home
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
