This Federal Government Department is looking for an experienced and dedicated professional to join their dynamic recruitment operations team.

**Your new role**

As the APS6 Recruitment Team Leader, you will lead and build a cohesive team by establishing clear work expectations, systems and processes.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties:

- Respond to complex enquiries and provide tailored advice on the recruitment processes at all levels.
- Conduct recruitment consultations with business areas to offer tailored and targeted solutions for recruitment and resourcing needs.
- Complete personal work allocations and offer assistance, guidance and mentoring of other team members, to ensure team performance goals are met and quality is maintained.
- Encourage and support ongoing learning and development opportunities for the team.
- Draft papers, executive correspondence, and ad-hoc reporting as requested.
- Plan and coordinate team workflow and management of priorities.
- Continue to develop cultural competency through participation in footprint activities and contribute and champion a culture that aligns with the department's values and behaviours, fostering a high performing team.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong recruitment experience within the Australian Public Service (APS)
- Leadership and management experience with small to medium teams
- Cultural competency and/or experience working with indigenous areas
- Sound understanding of APS processes, policies, and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
