Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced
**Payroll Team leader** that has the ability to produce powerful employee insight for management.

As the Payroll Team Leader, you will oversee complex payroll operations, provide leadership to the team, improve operational efficiency, and ensure high-quality payroll services. You will also analyze data, develop reports, and offer advice to fulfill reporting obligations.

**Key duties of this position**:

- Lead and manage the payroll team, ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Coach and oversee team members, clarifying roles, providing feedback, and identifying training opportunities for skill enhancement.
- Perform and quality assure payroll processes, ensuring correct employee payments, deduction information, and accurate reconciliation.
- Coordinate with IT for system maintenance and meet business requirements.
- Deliver high-level client service for complex payroll issues.

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Experience in managing payroll teams to deliver payroll services
- Strong skills in payroll systems, helpdesk systems and Microsoft office products
- Experience in undertaking pay transactions on an automated pay management system
