A central agency recruiting for an APS6 Team Leader Officer

**Your new company**
This Australian Government Department plays an important role in delivering advice and support to organisations and branches across Australia, managing a team of 10-15 people.
**Your new role**
In your new role as an APS6 Team Leader, you will be in charge of managing a team to ensure delivery of team performance and satisfied customers. This role will give you the opportunity to keep up to date with organisational changes and support the Director of the area.

Your primary responsibilities are:

- Organising and running team meetings
- Training and developing staff
- Ensure targets are achieved as well as team input
- Manage day to day tasks and activities which staff need to complete
- Create risk assessments on the previously developed processes and procedures
- Support the Director in creating areas of improvement and highlighting operational risks
- Fairly managing the performance management and coordinating disciplinary measures are required.
- Coordinate the operation within business targets, budgets and service levels

**What you'll need to succeed**
Your previous experience in a similar role within the Australian Public Service will lead to your success. You will have experience working within a contact centre and desirably previous Team Leader experience. With excellent leadership and communication skills, being able to correctly deal with customers and escalations from other staff.
