**About the role**

This is a new and exciting opportunity reporting to the Head of People Services that will have a key role in shaping how we manage safety in our workplaces and enhance worker wellbeing globally. This role primarily involves:

- Rebuilding, broadening and ongoing improvements to our SMS ensuring its compliance to local OHS laws.
- Review, elevate and develop leading practice safety and wellbeing documentation and learning content for new and existing staff.
- Facilitate and manage health and safety consultation activities.
- Provide advice and coach others on matters concerning safety and all aspects of wellbeing.
- End to end management of reported incidents and return to work activities.
- Source and recommend vendors and suppliers of safety and wellbeing orientated services; and where engaged manage any ongoing agreements.
- Manage corporate funded health and life insurance plans.
- Recommend safety and wellbeing strategies to address identified risks.
- Develop and deliver regular safety and wellbeing reporting to KMPs.

Whilst this is a stand-alone position, our expanding head office currently has the internal capabilities to support this position with some administration, graphic design and other SMEs for content development and advice on industry practices.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced safety and wellbeing professional to take the next step in their journey towards becoming a Safety and Wellbeing Manager.

**About the person**

We're looking for someone who is passionate about safety and all aspects of wellbeing. The preferred applicant will have a:

- Bachelor or Masters degree involving core studies in OHS. Completed either in Australia, New Zealand or Canada.
- 3-5 years of experience working in a work, health and safety team.
- Preferably experience in either retail, hospitality or health care sectors.
- Strong oral or written communication skills.
- Some experience preparing business cases and change management.
- Strong attention to detail and Excel or Google Sheet experience.

Understanding of ISO45001, quality and risk management an advantage.
