Job Overview

The role of a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Specialist is crucial in any organization as it ensures the well-being of employees and the public. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive health, safety, and wellbeing improvement plan to promote a culture of safety and wellbeing within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a Site HSW Improvement Plan to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Provide coaching and training to employees on health, safety, and wellbeing procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and maintain records of health, safety, and wellbeing metrics and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in regulator inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in health, safety, and wellbeing.
