**As our community continues to grow, we are looking for passionate individuals (like you) to join our team. **We seek a community focussed and experienced Parking Officer to work in and with our community along with our internal stakeholders to**
- Advise, educate, and provide guidance to members of our diverse community in relation to parking.
- Work with the community to ensure voluntary compliance in relation to parking matters.
- Carry out parking compliance around the City of Melville.
- Issue cautions and infringement notices in relation to the City’s Parking Local Law.
- Obtain and document required evidence when issuing cautions or infringements including notes and photographs as required.
- Identify and report damaged parking restriction signs, as well as other matters which may impact public safety including noncompliance of local laws and Acts.
- Inspect ticket parking machines to ensure operation and report malfunctions to the City’s contractor as required.
- Attend Court and present evidence in relation to prosecutions as required.

**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:

- Essential - Regulatory Office Compliance Skills 1 & 2 (ROCS) (formally Municipal Law A & B);
- or previous experience in a ranger or parking officer role
- Certificate IV in Local Government Regulatory Services (desirable)
- Essential - Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience to demonstrate working within a diverse community.

**Other skills**:

- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution experience.
- Knowledge of court procedures including giving evidence.
