**We’re now seeking a motivated Procurement Officer for an exciting role with the City of Melville**
The Procurement Team oversees all procurement activities in the City. The range of Goods or Service purchased by the City is extensive and includes such things as the renovation of libraries/centres, the purchase of books, the purchase of new software, the installation of playgrounds, the fixing of roads or the engagement of architects/consultants.
The role of the Procurement Officer is to guide individual tender and quotation processes from advertising through to award, including document preparation in accordance with current templates, advertising, evaluating and finalising contract.
**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:
- Experience in the use of Microsoft suite of products and financial software systems.
- Experience in the review and development of policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Be driven and keen to learn.
- Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and strict confidentiality.
- Desirable experience in purchasing and tendering. Desirable knowledge of contract preparation.
