- **Up to $98,534.80 p.a. total salary package (**$83,061.05 - $89,171.77 + super**)**
- P.A Pro-rata Dependent on skills and experience

**We have an exciting opportunity in our Natural Areas team, and we are looking for a motivated individual to provide professional environmental advice and develop and implement the City’s foreshore management programs and projects.**

As our Foreshore Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of tasks such as
- Developing, implementing and reviewing management plans and strategies for the foreshore areas and associated sub-catchments in the City of Melville.
- The effective and efficient implementation of the foreshore and associated sub-catchments restoration, maintenance and erosion control program including approvals, planning, facilitating, implementing and monitoring both short term and long term foreshore projects.
- Providing technical expertise and advice to internal and external to stakeholders in relation to foreshore issues and projects.
- Assisting in the development of the operational and capital budgets and undertake budget control for foreshore programs and projects.
- Coordinating and supervising contractors, consultants and volunteers as required.
- Recording, analysing and reporting on environmental programs, activities and financial implications.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Sound recent experience in a similar position.
- Sound technical knowledge and experience in foreshore restoration, water quality issues, foreshore and natural area management.
- Experience in project management - including the preparation, implementations, and monitoring of environmental management plans and strategies.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Project Management or equivalent.
- Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
- Current Senior First Aid certificate.
