**Corporate Reporting Manager - Services - Western Sydney**

Our client is a large services business that has been de-listed and is now owned by a large and reputable financial institution. They have built their own infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities to ensure top level services are provided to the community.
There is a key focus on sustainability and waste management, a key focus point in any growing metropolitan city. With that comes considerations for ESG accounting, reporting, and governance.

**The Role**
Reporting into a fantastic approachable finance leader, who would like you to eventually fill their shoes, your key responsibilities will be:
- Preparation of annual financial statements
- Responsible for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reports and statement disclosures
- Coordinate the external/internal audit process with staff and auditors
- Prepare concise and technically sound accounting papers, associated policies, and procedures and act as the key liaison on technical accounting matters
- Work closely with key stakeholders in relation to the adoption of new accounting standards
- Assisting in the development and implementation of additional robust financial controls and policies
- Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting policies and procedures that ensures robust financial governance of the business
- Conduct analyses of operating results and report on variances from prior comparative periods
- Oversee the maintenance of the Assets Register
- Assist in preparing audit committee and board papers, and external financial reports
- Provide on the job coaching to the corporate reporting team to assist in their career development
- Review and oversee controls around balance sheet account reconciliations
**Your Background**
To be considered for this opportunity, the hiring manager is looking for:
- Full CA or CPA qualification with a strong preference for a Big4 / Mid-tier audit foundation in your career
- Statutory reporting and analysis experience
- Able to run the audit process
- Experience in financial statement preparation including disclosures
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing and putting in place robust internal financial controls
- A critical thinker who enjoys the technical side of accounting and will be keen to take ownership of new standards as they come in, and implement them across the business
- An approachable, team player who will enjoy sharing their knowledge with others
They will consider someone looking for that all-important first-time move from a chartered accounting firm. You may not have all the experience mentioned above, but you will need to be at a Manager level to be considered for this role.
