Over the next twelve months alone, the city will unveil world-class architecture (PHIVE), new services, and major recreational facilities including a new aquatic centre and wellness facility.

We are looking for a superstar Head of Corporate Affairs (Corporate Affairs Manager), an individual with proven experience in leading a team of media and communications professionals to develop and drive end-to-end communications campaigns and initiatives to shape the reputation and brand perception of both the City of Parramatta and Council.

**About the role**

The Corporate Affairs Manager is responsible for leading a team of professionals who are responsible for driving and executing communications activities that positively promote the city and the Council across internal communications, media relations, industry, and community relations. The position is also responsible for providing strategic communications support to the Lord Mayor, CEO, and relevant Executive Team members.

This is a hands-on role where you are empowered to deliver what you believe the organisation needs to succeed.

**About you**
- Extensive experience in communications and media relations, with a proven track record of achieving strategic objectives
- 5+ years’ demonstrated experience in leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams and delivering services to a high standard to meet business performance criteria
- Degree qualifications in public affairs, communications, media, or equivalent
- An eye and desire for innovation and “out of the box” thinking, utilising experience across other industries
- Extensive experience in building and executing successful media and communications plans and frameworks
- Experience in working with marketing, events, and digital teams to ensure a truly integrated communications plan
- Understanding of how to best utilise the latest technologies, social, and digital channels
- Extensive experience in the effective promotion of a large and complex organisation
