Carers NSW is seeking an individual with strong leadership expertise to join the Carers NSW Executive team and drive operational objectives for the Carer Gateway team.

Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.

As the Executive Manager Carer Gateway, you will be responsible for leading and managing the operations for the Carers NSW Carer Gateway team, delivered by Carers NSW in partnership with a range of sub-contractors. You will work closely with a highly engaged team of Managers and Team Leaders to ensure we meet our operational objectives and reporting requirements.

Carers NSW currently delivers services in Carer Gateway 4, which is the Central Coast, Hunter New England and North Coast regions of NSW. We have office locations in North Sydney, Wyong, Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth and employees located regionally in the North Coast and New England regions.

This is a contract position until June 2026 based on funding, in a full time or part time capacity (4 -5 days per week).
- Tertiary qualifications in Health/Social Sciences, Business or other relevant discipline
- Demonstrated high level of skills and experience in leadership and management of senior work teams.
- Strong task delegation skills.
- Proven track record of effective work with senior and executive management.
- Extensive knowledge in implementation, delivery and evaluation of regional direct service delivery programs.
- Substantial experience in managing budgets
- Superior strategic and operational problem solving skills
- Knowledge of government and non-government funding and organisations
- Extensive knowledge and experience in preparation of funding submissions
- Demonstrated experience in relationship development and management with stakeholders, peak bodies and government organisations
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Current NSW drivers licence and the capacity to travel occassionally.

Salary and Benefits
