As a Chapter Lead, you'll be providing expert advice relating to technology, solution design and architecture, people leadership and hiring to drive excellence in technical delivery as per group engineering practices and standards. You will bring a perfect blend of people management, technical expertise and will be responsible for shaping the evolution of technical squad through contribution to the technology strategy, quarterly crew memo, prioritise backlog, define delivery roadmap, and determine which problems to invest in solving.

Our Group API squad is responsible for delivering & maintaining our API Gateways & API Management platform, simplifying integration between both internal and external systems, and enabling squads to discover and request access to APIs.

Our Greenfield platform is built solely on AWS, with automated deployments managed via GitOps. You'll work on both project and BAU tasks, including establishment of our API portals, developing automation to simplify on-boarding to our API gateways & ensuring adherence to CBA's API standards.

- Established new ways of working, successfully advocated for new technology approaches, with the experience to understand the architectural integration of new software solutions.

**Technical Skills**:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
- Experience with foundational AWS services (EC2, ECS, Cloud formation, Lambda, S3, Secrets Manager, KMS, IAM services etc.).
- Have a proven track record of leafing high-performing engineering teams in a public cloud environment; AWS would be advantageous.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of API Gateway (Kong, AWS or similar) including design, implementation and support.
- Proficient in cloud infrastructure automation (CloudFormation, Terraform, Groovy, Jenkins etc.).
- Ability to engage with and communicate to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
