- This role involves travel and out-of-office hours requirements such as overnight stays, evenings & weekend trips (to be financially compensated for accordingly)
- Remuneration of $73-$75,000 base + 10.5% super + salary packaging benefits

**The Role**

As a Peer Support Consultant, you will deliver effective in-person and online peer support for carers. This consists of facilitating group sessions in which carers meet to share their experiences, learn from one another, and develop networks to help support and connect with one another. No day is the same, but you can expect to:

- Deliver structured session plans to peer support groups that create an enjoyable and authentic environment for carers
- Empower carers through the CHIME framework
- Establish and maintain network relationships with key agencies, other providers, and referral services
- Actively participate in a team by contributing to collaborative working relationships, team initiatives and professional development.
- Engage in activities that are fun and in alignment with group needs such as movie nights, workshops, weekend retreats and more

**What you bring to the role**
- Lived experience as a carer is _essential_
- Previous experience facilitating peer support groups or programs
- An enthusiastic, outgoing and fun personality
- Strong communication skills to manage groups
- Highly organised and able to coordinate events, and workshops, and liaise with suppliers/vendors and transports.
