
Correspondence Officer

**In this role, you will**:
- Actively monitor the generic mailbox and prioritise work for correspondence and briefing material requests to ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct daily status reporting and provide analysis and proposed actions for Minister and Director General correspondence to meet service standards and on-time delivery.
- Maintain a high level of understanding and knowledge of the department's Ministerial and Executive Correspondence System (MECS) and record keeping system (eDOCS) and undertake all record management activities in eDOCS and complete according to Recordkeeping Policy.
- Identify customer complaints and escalate to the Chief Complaints Registrar for appropriate action.
- Quality assurance of briefing notes, correspondence and similar documents ensuring timelines are met.
- Undertake basic research and maintain a sound knowledge of various projects and priorities within the department and participate as an effective team member ensuring work priorities are met and encouraging an environment of continuous improvement and adoption of best practice.
- Provide advice on the correspondence style guide and templates and use relevant networks to ensure this information is disseminated throughout the department and assist in the delivery of localised training for users in MECS and provide advice on correspondence processes.
- Provide advice to the Manager and Team Leader on current and emerging issues.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Other duties as directed and required.
