The role As a Correspondence Officer within the Health Protection and Regulation Branch, your primary focus will be on upholding quality standards and managing the flow of all incoming and outgoing correspondence. This includes meticulously preparing and editing correspondence to meet departmental guidelines and managing the branch's correspondence tracking system using Content Manager and Outlook tasking.
Your role also involves liaising with senior management and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of correspondence and providing reports to support executive decision-making.
You will proactively identify opportunities to enhance branch correspondence processes and guidelines to uphold efficiency and quality standards. You will provide advice on protocol matters within Queensland Health, both to internal senior staff and external stakeholders, thereby contributing to the smooth functioning of the Health Protection and Regulation Branch and facilitating effective communication across the organisation.
The successful personTo excel in this position, you will have a proven record of accomplishment as a team player who is able to support and advise staff at all levels, including senior managers, on departmental protocols and requirements regarding correspondence. You will have hands-on experience in effectively managing large volumes of correspondence, including editing and ensuring quality assurance, utilising tools like Content Manager.
You will have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities. You will excel at time management and work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team. You will successfully prioritise tasks to ensure high quality work is progressed within the required times. You will be flexible and demonstrate a positive, solutions focused approach.
